Ever walked into Helen Newman or Morrison gyms only to turn right back around because every machine was taken? Or craved a late-night snack after studying, only to find the dining halls closed? Tired of wondering what’s happening on campus with no clear answers? Let’s change that.

Hello, Class of 2028! I’m Nancy Qiao, and I’m running to be your freshman representative. If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I’m outspoken – and I’m ready to speak up to make Cornell a better place for YOU to spend the next four years at. Here’s what I’ll work on if elected:

   1. Expanding gym equipment and ensuring quick repairs, including disability-friendly machines. As a campus fitness center monitor, I see the wait times and accessibility issues students face firsthand.

   2. Extending dining hours to 2am for those late-night study sessions.

   3. Bridging the communication gap between students and staff. In light of recent events, we’ve all come to realize the importance of community. And what’s a community without transparency and good communication?
