When I was recruited to Cornell as a graduate student, I was most impressed with how welcoming and supportive the community was. This community ultimately led to me pursuing my Ph.D. here, and I have been dedicated to making others feel as supported and welcomed as I was ever since. One aspect of this is recognizing those who have made Cornell an incredible place to do cutting-edge research, have a robust work-life balance, learn the skills necessary to succeed in our future careers, and make a difference in the world through our work. As the current chair of the faculty advising, teaching, mentorship, and awards committee, I have spent this last academic year seeking nominations from graduate and professional students to recognize those faculty, postdocs, TAs, and other colleagues who have made a difference at Cornell. It is my hope that, with your vote, I can continue to encourage excellence at Cornell through the GPSA.
