Paul Caruso
Paul Caruso
My name is Paul Caruso, and I am a first-year MPA student here at Cornell. I'm running for Programming Board Chair because the graduate gala and other events bring our community together. Though the gala is just one event, it is a symbol of our community and our triumph over the challenges we've faced together. In the 2024-2025 academic year, I chaired the Ticketing subcommittee, which had to innovate new solutions to previous ticketing issues. We created a new tear-off ticketing and wristband system which successfully debuted on March 24th. Additionally, as a member of the Catering subcommittee, I successfully negotiated with the Statler Hotel a reduction in other expenditures so we could provide more food for guests. Having previous experience on the Programming Board is vital, and I am prepared to take the mantle. I bring with me 4 years of university event-planning experience and organizational leadership. At Cornell, I founded a successful graduate club in my 2nd month on campus, joined the programming board, volunteered at a pro bono law firm, and became a student employee. I'm dedicated to GPSA and the success of the board, and I thank you for the opportunity to showcase my service to our graduate family.
