As an active member of the Cornell community, I wish to join the GPSA to further uphold the interests and values of the Graduate and Professional student community. While I am not currently a GPSA member, I have been part of and assisted with the writing and passing of several critical resolutions that have called for a more just and equitable Cornell. Within the Life Sciences, I have worked strenuously to ensure greater workplace protections and academic freedom for my colleagues. I will continue fight to enshrine these immensely important protections as the federal administration cracks down on institutions of higher education, including Cornell. I believe it’s vital that the voices of graduate students are heard and their needs addressed. As a voting member of the GPSA, I would bring a commitment to fostering collaboration across disciplines, advocating for equitable resource-sharing, and working towards policies that prioritize student well-being, inclusivity, and academic growth. My experience working in advocacy and policy development has given me the skills to navigate complex issues and the drive to create positive change. I am eager to represent my peers and contribute to a supportive and thriving graduate community.
