She/Her
As an ILR freshman dedicated to advocacy and accessibility, I am running for Student Assembly to help create a campus where every student, regardless of background or circumstance, can thrive. Through founding and directing an international nonprofit focused on emotional healing with over 1,500 volunteers signed up, I have witnessed firsthand how empathy and group efforts can produce positive change for a community. Some of my priorities as a student leader are to ensure accessibility is prioritized in classrooms, housing, and student life, as well as to promote clear information around campus regarding mental health resources. Foremost, I am committed to amplifying your voices as students, focusing on issues that matter to you and that affect your everyday life as Cornellians. I will serve as a reliable bridge between freshmen and the Student Assembly in order to address barriers to well-being and to help build a Cornell where care and compassion are not simply ideals, but everyday realities. I ask you to consider voting for me, Chloe Retuya, as one of your Freshman Representatives, so we can create an environment where each student feels uplifted, supported, and truly heard.
