Hey y’all! I’m Hayden, and I’m a rising junior in the Brooks School. At Cornell, I am in Haven, the Cornell Speech and Debate Society, POLIS, am a student worker, a future Watermargin housemate, and a debater in the ‘Is Pegging Gay’ debate.

I have served as an Assembly Executive officer throughout this last year, and accomplished some really great work, including:
Increasing funding to Slope Day and the ALANA Intercultural Board
Making NYT Games free for all students (subscription starting next year!)
Protecting Cornell’s values from the Trump administration by authoring Resolution 20

With your vote, I hope to:
Stand up to the federal government’s interference in higher education
Host more community-building events to improve mental health on campus
Buy public ice machines across campus

Throughout this year, I have seen the passion and care our Cornell community has for one another, and I truly hope to shape a campus where each student feels a sense of belonging. Please always feel free to reach out to me with any student concerns! It has been an honor serving you as a Vice President throughout this year, and I hope to continue serving you as the first out queer Executive Vice President!

The Assembly has the power to represent students and influence real change, but impact requires more than conversation, it requires follow-through. I am running for Executive Vice President to help build an Assembly that is more accountable, responsive, and effective in delivering for students.

I am running on three key principles: increased institutional accountability and transparency, strengthening student voice, and protecting and strengthening spaces for marginalized communities.

Increased Institutional Accountability and Transparency – Students deserve clear access to the decisions, policies, and priorities that shape their daily lives. The Assembly must actively ensure transparency and hold institutions accountable.

Strengthening Student Voice – Student input should be meaningful, not symbolic. The Assembly should expand opportunities for students to shape decisions and ensure their voices are reflected in real outcomes.

Protecting and Strengthening Spaces for Marginalized and Minority Communities – The spaces, programs, and resources that support underrepresented students are essential to campus life and must be taken seriously, protected, and strengthened.
