SA R39 (2020-2021): Rejected by the President

Dear Cat,   I appreciate the opportunity to respond to Student Assembly Resolution 39: “Calling Upon Cornell to Uphold its Ethical Guidelines for Ethical Engagements.”    Cornell and its faculty work with academic partners worldwide, and collaborations are fundamental to our teaching, discovery, and engagement mission. Our programs in China are no exception, as they extend Cornell’s influence and values to scholars and students in that country, many of whom may never visit our home campus in Ithaca.

UA R30 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

President Pollack,   It saddens me to send my final resolution as Chair of the University Assembly.

UA R29 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

President Pollack,   I am so excited to convey UA R29: Thanking Dean of Faculty Charles Van Loan for Outstanding Service to Shared Governance  Charlie taught me so much about the University Assembly and what it means to be a selfless leader.

UA R24 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

President Pollack,   We have one additional charter change that passed through the UA. UA R24: Making the UA Charter Gender-neutral removes the terms "he" and “she” from our Charter, replacing them with “they.” This is to reflect and respect individuals whom do not use the aforementioned pronouns.   Thank you for your consideration.   Best, Logan —  Logan R. UA R25 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

President Pollack,   A charter change for your consideration, and passed by the UA, is outlined in UA R25: Precluding Constituent Leaders from Serving on the UA Executive Board  This charter change would ensure that no conflicts of interests present themselves across our 5 assemblies.
