UA R28 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

Hi again President Pollack,   I am pleased to convey UA R28: Transparency and Accountability into the University’s Process for Certifying Enrollment with the Department of Veteran Affairs. This resolution asks the University to define and amend processes and procedure for the certification of enrollment for student-veterans with the VA to ensure transparency and accountability in the process. We submitted additional information as well as a proposal.

UA R16 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

Hi President Pollack,   It is my pleasure to convey to you UA R16: Calling for a Veterans Support Center. We created an Ad Hoc Committee through the UA’s Campus Welfare Committee, solicited feedback from the community at-large, and are pleased with this request. We wish to see a centralized location where veterans, military-affiliated individuals, and any member of the campus community can congregate—strengthening the bond between the community.

UA R27 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President

President Pollack,   I would also like to convey to you UA R27: Urgent Need for the Hiring of a Military Service-Related CAPS Counselor  This resolution was also drafted through the aforementioned ad hoc committee. At our last UA meeting we heard from a student veteran who was told by a CAPS counselor that they were not able to assist with their unique experiences and could not refer them to another counselor. This is deeply troubling.
