GPSA R8 (2020-2021): Acknowledged by the President
Dear David,
I am writing to acknowledge and to thank you for sharing GPSA resolution 8: “Maintaining the University Assembly’s Jurisdiction Over the Code of Conduct” for my consideration.
GPSA R7 (2020-2021): Acknowledged by the President
Dear David,
Thank you for submitting GPSA Resolution 7: Urging for Graduate Teaching Assistants to Have the Right to Decide their Instruction Modality for Spring 2021. Based on feedback the university received from the GPSA, graduate assistants, and faculty, the academic deans have adopted a policy of letting graduate TAs select their teaching modality for the spring 2021 term. This was communicated to students in the December 21, 2020 “Graduate Announcements” newsletter. The message further explained that students would no longer need to seek accommodations
GPSA R13 (2020-2021): Acknowledged by the President

UA R14 (2020-2021): Rejected by the President
Dear Logan,
Thank you for submitting University Assembly Resolution 14, “Calling on the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) to divest funds from all fossil fuel holdings and agribusiness practices associated with deforestation and human rights abuses,” for my consideration.
I share the UA’s deep concern about climate change, and I’m proud that Cornell is a leader in climate research and in adopting more sustainable practices that have decreased our campus carbon footprint in recent years.
UA R21 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President
President Pollack,
It is my pleasure to convey the final resolution of the day, UA R21: Resolution Demanding Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accountability. This resolution calls for an independent audit of Cornell’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and demands that the University immediately adopt CLCPA-mandated greenhouse gas accounting in order to establish transparency and maintain prolonged accountability as it relates to University GHG emissions.
