Employee Assembly Staff Forum: COVID - A Year Later
This forum will be an opportunity for the staff community to hear from President Pollack and her colleagues at the one-year milestone of the campus (and the world) reacting to the impacts of COVID-19. This will be a look back and a look ahead, with a focus on the years effect on the staff community. The invited panelists are the university administrators best positioned to respond to the breadth of your concerns. This forum was held on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (EST).

I am pleased to convey R8: Updates to The George Peter Award for Dedicated Service.
This resolution aims to refine terms, eligibility and criteria for The George Peter Award. Staff feedback has indicated to us the importance of recognition and community building during this time.
EA R7 (2020-2021): Conveyed to the President
Dear President Pollack,
I am pleased to convey R7: Postponing Spring 2021 Elections .
This resolution aims to postpone the 2021 organizational meeting to a date occurring before May 14, 2021, the last date of classes of the spring 2021 semester.

I strugle with the notion of free speech when it clearly or blatantly is making a group of people to be "less than". That was not the intent of the First Amendment.

In a conversation, actively listening to the other perspective is key. Meaning, one must listen, reiterate what was heard to ensure accuracy, and acknowledge what was said. Too often, there is a reaction vs. a response.
