UA R1 (2019-2020): Acknowledged by the President

Dear Bob,

Thank you for forwarding UA Resolution #1, “Recognition of the Office of the University Ombudsman 50th Anniversary.”

GPSA R3 (2019-2020): Conveyed to the President

Dear President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey Resolution 3: Demanding mandatory arbitration and class action bans be removed from CASHNet and other community agreements.

The abstract states, "Cornell’s CASHNet payment system mandates arbitration to resolve disputes and [also] bans class actions,[which are] practices condemned by our own Law and ILR faculty. These terms should not appear in any agreement Cornell presents its community."

GPSA R1 (2019-2020): Conveyed to the President

Dear President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey Resolution 1: Approving the GPSA Internal Budget for the 2019-2020 Term.

This resolution states the "recommended budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year shall be a total of $37, 250.00." It also delineates the recommended breakdown of the aforementioned budget.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know should you have any questions  or concerns.

All of my best,

EA R2 (2019-2020): Acknowledged by the President

Dear Adam,

Thank you for sending EA Resolution 2: Consolidation of Committees to Vice President Opperman and me. I commend the EA for the careful and thoughtful way in which the members arrived at the decision to permanently consolidate standing committees. I’m pleased that the one-year trial of the modified committee structure gave you an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the change. I am glad to learn that this change was effective, and endorse this resolution.

Sincerely,

Martha Pollack
