GPSA R3 (2014-2015): Acknowledged by the President

Dear Richard:

Thank you for the warm and constructive welcome message to incoming president Elizabeth Garrett in GPSA Resolution 3. I was delighted to share a copy of it with Beth and I have conveyed my strong support for principles that you outlined. Over the coming seven months President-elect Garrett will be familiarizing herself with many facets of Cornell. Working closely with the student assemblies will provide her with key insights into the needs and ideals of Cornell’s diverse student community.

SA R20 (2014-2015): Conveyed to the President

Dear President Skorton,

I would like to convey Resolution 20: Recognition of AIDS Awareness Week to you. This resolution was co-sponsored by SA Executive Vice President Juliana Batista and AIDS Awareness Week Co-chairs Alexander Brown and Madeline Gerrick.

SA R19 (2014-2015): Conveyed to the President

Dear President Skorton,

I would like to convey Resolution 19: Improving Lighting and Fix Walkway on Libe Slope to you. This resolution was co-sponsored by Representatives Syed Ali Khan and David Vakili.

This resolution received great support from the membership of the SA, who find that walking down certain paths on the slope can be dark and dangerous at night. The goal of this resolution is to maintain the beauty of the slope, while ensuring that students can travel safely.

SA R8 (2014-2015): Conveyed to the President

Dear President Skorton and Dean Burns,

I would like to convey Resolution 8: Resources in Syllabi for Mental Health to you. This resolution was co-sponsored by Matthew Stefanko and Yamini Bhandari.

The SA representatives showed overwhelming support for the thought behind this resolution. We hope that the Faculty Senate, and the EPC, will encourage faculty to include language like what was written in the resolution in their future course syllabi.
