Dear Interim President Rawlings,
It is with great pleasure that I submit EA R3: In Appreciation and Recognition of Franklin N. Henry, Sr.
This resolution was passed unanimously by the full assembly at our meeting of 19 October 2016.
Its purpose is to publicly and formally recognize the passing of a member of the staff community who did much to engage and promote employees and their contributions during his time at Cornell. As a staff member who ‘rose up through the ranks’ of opportunities at the university, Franklin started as a dining service worker and became a general manager, employee-elected Trustee, and served on the Employee Assembly. He will be greatly missed.
We request that you please share this resolution with Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Mary Opperman, and the current director of Cornell Dining. Along with your acknowledgement, we will forward a copy to the family of Mr. Henry, with our collective sympathies.
