Good afternoon President Kotlikoff,
I hope you are doing well and looking forward to the weekend.
In what is essentially my final act as 2025-2026 Employee Assembly Chair, I'm pleased to convey EA R4: Single-Use Plastic Phaseout, passed in a 15-5-1 vote. This resolution is related to phasing out single-use plastics through a five-year transition to reusable or BPI-certified compostable alternatives. Doing so would align campus practices with Cornell's commitments to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community well-being.
