• Abstract: The GPSA, during the fall semester of odd-numbered years, through the authority delegated by the President of the University and the Board of Trustees, shall be charged with recommending the amount and the allocation of the Graduate and Professional Student Activity Fee, subject to the approval of the President of the University.

  Whereas, the GPSA Charter, §Article II, Section 2.02 states:

  1. The GPSA, during the fall semester of odd-numbered years, through the authority delegated by the President of the University and the Board of Trustees, shall be charged with recommending the amount and the allocation of the Graduate and Professional Student Activity Fee, subject to the approval of the President of the University.
  2. An opt-out option and an option to pay extra will only be allowed to exempt a student from paying the Student Activity Fee.
     1. Exceptions may be considered if recommended and approved by the GPSA and the University's President.
  3. These procedures shall be reviewed by the Student Assembly, the GPSA, and a representative of the President of the University at least every four years in a non-fee-setting year.

  Be it therefore resolved, the GPSA recommends the Graduate and Professional Student Activity Fee be set at $101.00, to be distributed as follows;

  1. Athletics and Physical Education: $7.00
  2. Big Red Barn: $16.50
  3. Cornell Cinema: $5.00
  4. Cornell Concert Commission: $4.5
  5. Cornell University Programming Board: $2.90
  6. Cornell University Emergency Medical Services: $ 2.45
  7. GPSA Internal Budget: $5.30
  8. GPSAFC: $46.60
  9. GPSA Programming Board; $3.25
  10. Insurance and Risk Management: $5.50
  11. International Graduate and Professional Student Organization: $2.00
