Revision of Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Bylaws

• Abstract: As the bylaws form the foundation of GPSAs governance process and guide members new and old through the intricacies of process they are a necessary part of the organization. Since these bylaws have not been updated in a while this resolution will make them more concise and readable by reducing redundancy while also bringing them in line with the procedure and organization of today.

  Whereas, the bylaws have not been updated in a wholistic and meaningful way for several years. 

  Whereas, the bylaws currently reference organizational bodies and external organizations that are not in operation or have merged with others.

  Whereas, there is a large amount of duplication in the current formulation of the bylaws.

  Be it therefore resolved, that the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly adopt the revisions put forth in the attached document to create a more correct and usable governing document.
