Dear President Kotlikoff,
I am pleased to convey the GPSA's adoption of GPSA R8: On Investment in the Big Red Barn.This resolution directs the GPSA Appropriations Committee to distribute $61,200 to the Graduate School from the GPSA Finance Commission reserve for the purchasing of furniture and funding space upgrades to the Big Red Barn as recommended by the GPSA Special Grants Committee.
The Graduate School's proposal, with letter of endorsement from Dean of the Graduate School and Vice Provost for Graduate Education Thomas A. Lewis, includes a detailed plan for collaboration between Graduate School Leadership and the GPSA to solicit graduate and professional student involvement and input in the selection of furniture that preserve the charm and character of the carriage house.
