Dear Anuli,Thank you for conveying to me Student Assembly Resolution #15: Urging Cornell to Immediately Release Financial Aid. Timely delivery of financial aid is critical to students and a priority for the University. As you know, Jon Burdick, Vice Provost for Enrollment has been committed to resolving all remaining delays this semester, and deeply engaged and focused on preventing similar occurrences in the future. As of mid-October, all financial aid applicants who have submitted all required documents have received official 2021-22 award notifications and all available aid has been released. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is now undertaking proactive outreach to a decreasing number of students who have outstanding requirements to offer them assistance and clear any additional hurdles that may be preventing distribution of certain types of aid.I encourage the SA to continue to work with Vice Provost Burdick for additional details including the specifics of the resolution, and to urge students who are struggling to meet basic expenses due to delays, or for any other reason, to connect with the Office of Financial Aid for additional information and support.Sincerely,Martha E.
