    Dear Anuli,

I acknowledge receipt of Student Assembly Resolution 23: Support for Reproductive Rights, and support the spirit of this resolution.

Surveys consistently show that students have a high awareness of Cornell Health as a resource for clinical care and support, and Cornell Health’s sexual health services are well utilized by undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Cornell Health offers contraception counseling and options, including prescription and non-prescription birth control available in the Cornell Health pharmacy, plus comprehensive sexual health education materials on their website. Students can also receive pregnancy testing at Cornell Health. Those seeking pregnancy options counseling and / or services – for continuation of pregnancy, adoption, or abortion – are referred to local and regional organizations for care.

Cornell Health publicizes their services broadly on campus, and works with campus partners such as residential staff and the Dean of Students Office to provide programming and information on safer sex and birth control options. Additionally, some student organizations offer programs and peer discussions on these topics.

    Sincerely,

    Martha E. Pollack
