    Dear Joe,
     
    Thank you for conveying to me Resolution 25: Recommendation for the Student Activity Fee for 2020-2022. I appreciate the Student Assembly's thoughtful work to set and allocate the fee, as well as its desire to do more on behalf of the student body and university as a whole.
     
    While I acknowledge the need for an increase in the fee and systematic change within the Assembly, I, along with members of the University’s leadership team, have carefully considered this proposal and agree that a $97 increase is too significant at this time.
     
    I am willing to support a $75 increase to the Student Activity Fee over two years. Therefore, the fee will increase to $274 for the 2020-21 academic year, and to $309 for the 2021-22 academic year.
     
    Thank you, again, for all of the work that went into the resolution.
