Summary / Notes:
Dear Zora,
Thank you for conveying SA Resolution 31: Incorporating the Cornell Meal Plan at Trillium Dining Hall. Feedback from the Cornell community helps inform Cornell Dining and the Student Assembly Dining Services Committee of the dining program's impact on our students and campus community.
Over the 2024 calendar year, Cornell Dining held student focus groups, enlisted a consulting group, consulted with peer universities, and explored various models to enhance meal swipe flexibility and choices for students during busy class times. Working with the consultants, the to-go lunch pilot program, Meals on the Move, was implemented allowing students to order to-go lunches in advance for pickup at Crossings Café on North Campus and at Rose House on West Campus on their way to classes in the morning as early as 7:30 am.
Cornell Dining continues to engage in meaningful conversations with the Student Assembly Dining Services Committee as they evaluate dining offerings, address student needs, and explore meal access options. As a result of these meetings, Cornell Dining has committed to exploring the feasibility of an additional pickup location on central campus.
Cornell Dining looks forward to working collaboratively to help educate our community about the dining program and structure, as well as to identify possible solutions to enhance service.
Sincerely,
Michael Kotlikoff
