Dear Zora,
Thank you for conveying Student Assembly Resolution 44: Aligning Housing Contract and Network Policies with Entrepreneurship Goals. I appreciate the SA’s interest in supporting the entrepreneurial efforts of Cornell students.
For legal reasons, Cornell (like many other universities) prohibits students in university housing from engaging in commercial activities in or from their residences. However, Cornell does provide meaningful opportunities for students to engage in entrepreneurial activities outside of university housing, including through Entrepreneurship at Cornell, and students are encouraged to take advantage of those opportunities.
