  Dear Zora,

  Thank you for conveying Resolution 48: Public Comment Duration and for sharing your efforts to promote efficient and productive Student Assembly meetings. I am returning the resolution to the Student Assembly to work with Dean Love to correct the appendices.  

  I appreciate the Assembly’s continued attention to how its processes can best support deliberation and decision-making. Once the resolution is re-submitted, and as this time limit is implemented, I hope it does not inadvertently constrain meaningful participation or thoughtful discussion. I trust that the Assembly will continue to exercise good judgment in determining when a topic would benefit from additional discussion and should be tabled for consideration at a subsequent meeting. 

  Thank you for your ongoing commitment to effective shared governance and to fostering constructive dialogue within the Assembly.
