Dear Zora,
Thank you for conveying SA R54: Expanding Free and Subsidized Student Parking at Cornell University.
We support the SA's interest in removing transportation barriers for vehicle-dependent students experiencing financial hardships, particularly students with disabilities. This resolution provides structure and impetus to further conversations between Transportation Services and the Student Assembly.
The suggested initiative requires a feasibility analysis as part of our integrated transportation system. I have requested that Transportation Services engage with the Student Assembly at the start of Fall 2025 to further explore this program. We look forward to learning more as the conversations commence and progress.
