Reassessing Resolution 21: Approving the Recommendation for the 2026-2028 Student Activity Fee

• Abstract: This resolution approves a new recommendation for the 2026-2028 Student Activity Fee. Readjustments are a result of the Finance Committee’s reassessment after the rejection of the initially proposed Student Activity Fee in Resolution 21.

  Whereas, Appendix A: Guidelines for the Allocation of the Student Activity Fee, Section 1:
  Preamble, reads: 
       “The Student Assembly, through the delegated authority of the President and the Board of Trustees, is charged with the allocation of the Student Activity Fee (SAF). This fee is mandatory for all undergraduate students of the University and shall be used to fund participation in, and viewing of, activities and programs that benefit the Cornell community. The SAF shall be determined during the fall semester of every odd-numbered year, and be subject to the approval of the President of the University.”
  Whereas, Appendix A: Guidelines for the Allocation of the Student Activity Fee, Section 13: Criteria for Setting and Allocating the Student Activity Fee from the March 1, 1999 Delegation of Authority, Subsection I, reads: 
       “The SA shall ensure that the Student Activity Fee is an even dollar amount without change. The SA shall be permitted to increase the Student Activities Funding Commission’s allocation above their request to reach an even dollar amount.”
  Whereas, Resolution 21: Approving the Recommendation for the 2026-2028 Student Activity Fee was rejected by President Kotlikoff,
  Be it therefore resolved, he Student Assembly recommends the Student Activity Fee be set at $424 and distributed as follows:
