    Dear President Kotlikoff,

    I am pleased to convey SA R70: The Last Straw: Single-Use Plastic Phaseout. This resolution encourages Cornell to phase out single-use plastics through a five-year transition to reusable or BPI-certified compostable alternatives to align campus practices with Cornell's commitments to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community well-being.

    The SA Environmental Committee worked extensively on this resolution through the spring semester.
