Dear Bob,
Thank you for forwarding UA Resolution #1, “Recognition of the Office of the University Ombudsman 50th Anniversary.”
As your resolution points out, since 1969 the ombudsman office has “been an independent, informal, confidential and neutral resource whose purpose is to assist all members of the university community with a broad range of university related questions, disputes, complaints, and concerns, as well as a sense of belonging.” Over the years, the university has been served by twelve ombudsmen and many more staff in the office, and we are grateful to them for their dedication to our community.
I appreciate the University Assembly putting forth this resolution to recognize the essential work of the Office of the University Ombudsman.
