    Dear Bob,

Thank you for submitting UA Resolution #8: “Recommendation for Revision of the Campus Code of Conduct” for my consideration. I am pleased to accept this resolution.

I appreciate the efforts of the University Assembly and the Codes and Judicial Committee (CJC) to make revisions to the Code of Conduct over the past several semesters. During the summer the Office of University Counsel will develop a code reflecting the best ideas from the CJC and the Office of the Student Advocate. I will look forward to reviewing the feedback from the robust Cornell community comment period established by the resolution before returning the final version to the UA for review and response in the Fall and ultimately to the Board of Trustees in October.

This has been a long and difficult process, and I extend my thanks to all involved in delivering recommendations for the code. Thank you for your diligent work on behalf of Cornell.

    Sincerely,
    Martha Pollack
