Class of 2029

My name is Strummer Dunn, an Industrial and Labor Relations major with a minor in History, and I’m running for Students with Disabilities Representative to advocate for tangible progress toward a more accessible and supportive campus. I committed to ILR to improve policy and accessibility for disabled workers, and I am equally committed to fighting for similar protections for Cornell students. My experience with chronic illness, joint disability, and neurodiversity has shaped my time at Cornell and drive my commitment to improving visibility and support for disabled students.

I aim to amplify student concerns and work with Student Disability Services to streamline housing and academic accommodations and expand available resources. I am also committed to supporting issues intersectionally related to disability, including financial equity, student healthcare, and mental health services, and I plan to support resolutions advocating for free and expanded TCAT services and more financially accessible student services.

Disabled students deserve an accessible and inclusive campus—and I’m running to make Student Assembly a strong and effective advocate for disability rights, both willing and able to support Cornellians with disabilities.
