 Hey everyone! My name is TANAY NAIK, and I’m honored to be running for your Freshman Representative on the Student Assembly. I’m from Arizona (no, I'm not ready for winter), live in Clara Dickson, and love playing soccer. Cornell has an amazing community, truly embodying the WORK HARD, PLAY HARD spirit. 

   (1.) I’ve realized that many of us have MISSED OUT on things like comedy shows, networking events, guest speakers, and even freshman socials, simply because WE DIDN’T KNOW they were happening. I want to make it easier for every student to stay IN THE KNOW by improving how events and opportunities are shared across campus. 
   (2.) Many students DON’T KNOW what goes on within Student Assembly, like what decisions are being made. As your representative, I’ll work to bridge that gap by IMPROVING TRANSPARENCY and making sure every Cornellian feels informed. 
   (3.) After speaking with a lot of you, I also want to give MORE FREE PRINTING allocation for students, because $15 as of right now is TOO LESS. 
   (4.) We all love the waffles in Morrison, but what’s EVEN BETTER is WAFFLES at APPEL! So I will most definitely be working to get a waffle machine at Appel.
