As an international student from Taiwan studying plant genetics, I am deeply committed to the academic and personal growth of our diverse community at Cornell. Currently serving as the Co-President of Plant Breeding and Genetics at SIPS, I recognize the significant role that plant science plays within Cornell CALS. My experience navigating the challenges faced by international students has equipped me with a profound understanding of the support and resources needed for success. I have personally traversed the journey that many students undergo, and I am dedicated to advocating for the needs and well-being of our international community. Having worked in both wet lab and bioinformatics settings, I possess a unique perspective on the integration of these fields. I understand the complexities and the support required to bridge the gap between traditional and computational biological research. As your Biological Sciences Representative, I will leverage my diverse experiences and passion to ensure that every student's voice is heard, and their challenges addressed. I will work tirelessly to address your concerns, celebrate your achievements, and enhance our graduate student experience.
