Dear Jim,
As you know I have extremely high regard for the Office of the Ombudsman. Charlie Walcott, Linda Falkson and Helen Lang make a superb team and provide a valuable service to the Cornell community. I appreciate the UA’s sentiments about the current staffing levels of the Ombudsman’s Office and will take its recommendation under advisement in discussions with Charlie Walcott and President-elect Garrett.

UA R4 (2014-2015): Accepted by the President
Dear Jim,
I acknowledge and thank you for sharing the UA Resolution # 4 recommending appointment of a "Faculty Adviser to the Office of the Judicial Codes Counselor.” Enlisting a faculty adviser to provide guidance to the Judicial Codes Counselors, who are typically law students, is a matter my office has been actively considering. Hence, I am pleased to receive the UA’s endorsement in this regard. I accept the resolution and I agree that the faculty advisor should not function as a supervisor of the Judicial Codes Counselors.
Best regards,
David
