Summary / Notes:
Dear Nicholas,
Thank you to Ocean and the GPSA for conveying Graduate and Professional Student Assembly - Resolution 15 (2024-2025): Updating Appendix A and Appendix B. I appreciate and approve the GPSA’s updates, with one stipulation for a revision to the language in Part II.A.1.
Please amend the language which states that an organization must “primarily serve the graduate and professional student body,” to mirror the language in President Rawlings’s 1999 delegation letter, which directs that an organization’s “activities are of direct and primary benefit to the entire Cornell community represented by the respective assembly.” The previous version of this section used the language “directly and primarily serve and benefit the entire graduate and professional student community…”
With that change, Resolution 15 will be approved.
Sincerely,
Michael Kotlikoff
Michael Kotlikoff, V.M.D., Ph.D., Sc.D. (h.c.)
President and Professor of Molecular Physiology
