    Dear President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey Resolution 7: Urging for Graduate Teaching Assistants to Have the Right to Decide their Instruction Modality for Spring 2021. The resolution states that, in light of the global pandemic and Cornell University conducting instructions in a hybrid manner, graduate Teaching Assistants should be given the absolute autonomy to decide their mode 6 of teaching instruction (online/in-person) without any form of coercion. The resolution addresses the difficulties of TAs approaching course instructors with their discomfort with their mode of teaching, potentially risking undesired disclosure of sensitive personal information. Therefore, the resolution strongly requests that all graduate TAs have the autonomy that a number of departments already guarantee to TAs in determining their teaching modality.
