Whereas, Alhassan Bangura helped found the Student Assembly Office of Ethics in the 2021-2022 term and was an inaugural member of the Office;
Whereas, Alhassan served as Director of the Office of Ethics for the 2023-2024 term, providing invaluable support to the Assembly and adjudicating complex Assembly crises including presidential succession, governing document conflicts, and officer misconduct allegations;
Whereas, Alhassan has served as Director Emeritus for the 2024-2025 term, using his expertise to provide support and guidance to the Office of Ethics;
Whereas, Alhassan has shown dedication and commitment to the betterment of the Cornell community through his service;
Whereas, Alhassan has gone above and beyond his duties as both a Director and a member of the Office of Ethics, and has worked tirelessly to bring fairness and transparency to the Assembly;
Whereas, Alhassan has been a valuable member of the Student Assembly community, bringing integrity, dedication, and unwavering principles to the Office of Ethics;
Be it therefore resolved, that the Student Assembly proudly commends Alhassan Bangura for his service for the past three years;
Be it finally resolved, the Student Assembly expresses its sincere gratitude to Alhassan for his dedication, commitment, and hard work, and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.
