Dear Eeshaan,
Many thanks to Zora and the SA for conveying Resolution 79: Consolidating Student Access to University Resources. I acknowledge receipt, and appreciate the Assembly’s interest in ensuring that students are aware of and able to easily access the many resources available to them across Cornell. Thank you especially to the technology committee for collaborating with IT to develop the working prototype of student-facing software. The IT team will move forward with testing this software in consultation with relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders.
Cornell remains committed to supporting and engaging students through modern, accessible applications and services. The CEMI initiative is central to this work, with a strong focus on improving the student journey across our core services. While some elements of CEMI will unfold over the next few years, we are already advancing new student-facing, web-based support tools that are nearing the pilot stage.
I would also encourage students to continue to engage with their advising support network, and their college advising offices in particular, to learn more about available resources and how to best utilize them.
