Dear Eeshaan,
Many thanks to Zora and the SA for conveying Resolution 89: Approval of SAIFC’s Spring 2026 Recommendation. Per the Charter, Section 9.B.iii, “All funding awards granted by the SAIFC must be approved by the Dean of Students before becoming finalized.” As of the date of the conveyance of this resolution, the Dean of Students had given final approval to two projects – $50,000 to Office of the College Architects for additional lighting on Libe Slope and $5,000 funding to Housing and Residential Life/Black AAP.
All other projects received the Dean’s conditional support pending institutional/departmental support and collaboration. The applicants and the SAIF Committee have yet to secure departmental support and commitment, so the funding awarded by SAIFC cannot be granted this cycle. I have asked Student and Campus Life leadership to assess the accessibility challenges identified in the application to determine potential solutions and opportunities. I hope the applicants will continue their engagement with campus partners to complete the process and develop collaborative plans.
