SA R34 (2024-2025): SA R34: Approving special Projects Funding Transfer Request

Whereas, on February 23, 2025, the total amount in the Student Assembly Reserve Accounts was $61,577.57;

Whereas, on February 23, 2025, in accordance with the 2024-25 Student Assembly Budget, the Special Projects Sub-Account Balance is at a value of -$3,192.72;

Whereas, the transfer of $10,000 to the Special Projects Account would replenish these funds to a value of $6,807.28;

SA R33 (2024-2025): University Response to U.S. Department of Education’s Threats

Whereas, on February 14th, acting assistant secretary for Civil Rights of the Department of Education, Craig Trainor, sent a letter to educational facilities ordering Universities under The Department’s purview, to comply with a broad ideological goal of ending "D.E.I" based on the Supreme Court case: Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard (2023).

SA R32 (2024-2025): Setting the Summer Experience Grant Allocation

Whereas, the Student Assembly has jurisdiction over the allocation of funds between the Students Helping Students 
distributions and the Summer Experience Grant distributions;

Whereas, ordinarily, this split is determined by the Financial Aid Review Committee in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid;

Whereas, the Financial Aid Review Committee does not currently have enough members to make this decision in accordance with the Bylaws of the Student Assembly;

SA R31 (2024-2025): Incorporating the Cornell Meal Plan at Trillium Dining Hall

Whereas, the majority of classes for undergraduates occur on Central campus during traditional breakfast and lunch hours (8AM – 3PM);

Whereas, Oakenshields is currently the only Central Campus eatery that accepts meal swipes, leading to lunchtime overcrowding and inconvenience for students, particularly those on the Agriculture Quad (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College Human Ecology, Brooks School of Public Policy);
