Whereas, the Young Democratic Socialists of America Cornell Chapter (YDSA) has an annual allocation of $2000 from the Student Activities Funding Commission (SAFC),

Whereas, the YDSA hosted a Queer Solidarity Drag Show with local performers to encourage queer solidarity,

Whereas, the total cost of the Queer Solidarity Drag Show is $3000,

Whereas, Part B: Special Projects Funding, Section 1, of the Standing Rules reads:

Whereas, the Ethiopian Eritrean Student Association (EESA) has an annual allocation of $500 from the Student Activities Funding Commission (SAFC),

Whereas, the EESA seeks to bring members to the annual EESA Feast, a national Eritrean-Ethiopian student conference hosted at Yale University,

Whereas, the total cost of the EESA Feast is $4800,

Whereas, Part B: Special Projects Funding, Section 1, of the Standing Rules reads:

Whereas, the GPSA created the Special Grants Committee by passing Resolution 9: Special Committee for the Disbursement of Special Grant Funding in FY2024, whose charge was to solicit, review, and recommend funding for grants aimed towards advancing graduate and professional student interests at Cornell University.

GPSA R11 (2025-2026): Implementing Special Grants Committee Funding Recommendations on Grants Addressing Novel Programming

Whereas, the GPSA created the Special Grants Committee by passing Resolution 9: Special Committee for the Disbursement of Special Grant Funding in FY2024, whose charge was to solicit, review, and recommend funding for grants aimed towards advancing graduate and professional student interests at Cornell University.

 

GPSA R10 (2025-2026): Implementing Special Grants Committee Funding Recommendations on Grants Addressing Community Building

Whereas, the GPSA created the Special Grants Committee by passing Resolution 9: Special Committee for the Disbursement of Special Grant Funding in FY2024, whose charge was to solicit, review, and recommend funding for grants aimed towards advancing graduate and professional student interests at Cornell University.

Whereas, the GPSA created the Special Grants Committee by passing Resolution 9: Special Committee for the Disbursement of Special Grant Funding in FY2024, whose charge was to solicit, review, and recommend funding for grants aimed towards advancing graduate and professional student interests at Cornell University.

GPSA R8 (2025-2026): On Investment in the Big Red Barn

Whereas, the GPSA created the Special Grants Committee by passing Resolution 9: Special Committee for the Disbursement of Special Grant Funding in FY2024, whose charge was to solicit, review, and recommend funding for grants aimed towards advancing graduate and professional student interests at Cornell University.

Dear Zora,

Thank you for conveying Resolution 17: Reinstating the A&S Peer Mentoring Program. I appreciate the Assembly’s interest in ensuring first-year students receive support. Individual colleges determine what programming works best for their communities. 

The College of Arts & Sciences has a robust advising program, of which the peer advisor program was one component.
