Thank you for letting me know that the Employee Assembly has adopted Standing Rules for 2017-18, in accordance with Article IV of the Charter of the Employee Assembly, which provides the EA “authority and control over its own policies, operations, and maintenance, including bylaws, procedures, and amendments.”  I appreciate that these changes codify certain practices and expectations of Employee Assembly members this term and that the resolution passed unanimously.

I acknowledge receipt of Student Assembly Resolution 30: Affirming Cornell’s Stance on Supporting the Rights of Transgender Individuals, and am appreciative of the Student Assembly’s support for Cornell’s existing policies and guidelines allowing students, staff, faculty and visitors to use the restroom or facility that corresponds to their gender identity.
