The Office of the Assemblies supports the Dean of Faculty in all of its faculty-wide elections. Faculty have five voting seats on the University Assembly and serve on its committees. More information is available about the Faculty-Elected Trustee, the election of the Dean of Faculty, and election of faculty representatives to University committees through the Office of the Dean of Faculty.

Constituent-Elected Trustees

Cornell is one of relatively few institutions of higher education in the nation whose campus community directly elects constituent members to the Board of Trustees, its highest governing body.

Employees

Non-faculty employees at Cornell are encouraged and invited to run and vote in two main elections: Employee Assembly (EA) elections and Constituent-Elected Trustee elections.

Graduate and Professional

Graduate and professional school students may participate in two elections: the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA) and Graduate Student-Elected Trustee elections.

Undergraduate

For undergraduates, shared governance at Cornell spans two main elections: Student Assembly elections and Undergraduate Student-Elected Trustee elections.
