Thank you for conveying EA R4: In Recognition and Appreciation of Cornell University Students. I share your appreciation for the efforts of our students to adhere to the safety measures that the university put in place this fall. Thanks to their careful practices, we were able to conduct in-person classes safely as planned.
I also want to thank the Employee Assembly for your ongoing efforts to inform and support our staff community.

Thank you for sending me a copy of GPSA Resolution 2: Condemning the Proposed DHS Ruling Requiring a Fixed Period of Stay for International Students.
I am proud of the comment letter submitted by Cornell voicing strong opposition to the proposed rule change. I sincerely hope that the Department takes our comments to heart – along with the hundreds of thousands of others that were written in opposition – and withdraws the proposal before it becomes effective.
Wind Down to Winter Break Panel

Following opening remarks from Mary Opperman, Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer, a panel of wellbeing experts from Cornell will be sharing their thoughts and suggestions on 2020’s impact on wellbeing and more importantly, how to integrate reflection, rest, and rejuvenation into the winter months. Cornellians who work during the winter break will benefit from participating, as the panelists will discuss the diversity of roles and a variety of ways to practice self-care throughout the winter.
