Whereas, the Standing Rules of the Student Assembly must be adopted at the beginning of each term of the Student Assembly.

Whereas, proper Standing Rules are necessary for the functioning of the Assembly.

Be it therefore resolved, the attached Standing Rules be adopted as the Standing Rules for the 2025-2026 Term of the Student Assembly, with immediate effect.

Whereas, “Sub-section 4” of “Section 5: Vice President for Finance” of “Article 3: Officer Duties” of the Student Assembly Bylaws states (the responsibility of the Vice President for Finance is):

4.   Propose the Student Assembly’s budget in the form of a resolution by one of the first two general assembly meetings of each Assembly term.

Be it finally resolved, that the Student Assembly adopt the 2025-2026 Student Assembly Operating Budget.

Whereas, Article IV, Section 1 of the Charter of the Employee Assembly grants the Assembly “authority and control over its own policies, operations, and maintenance”; and

Whereas, the Employee Assembly Vice Chair for Operations and Finance is charged with the responsibility for maintaining and updating the Employee Assembly’s Operating Budget each legislative session; and
