GPSA R8 (2015-2016): Conveyed to the President
Dear Acting President Kotlikoff, I would like to convey GPSA Resolution 8: Resolution Concerning 2014 Tax Issues for International Students. This resolution summarizes the tax crisis facing international students as far as it is understood by the graduate and professional student community. While we fully acknowledge that this is a nationwide issue, we still believe Cornell should do all it can to ensure a quick resolution to this issue.
SA R40 (2015-2016): Conveyed to the President
Dear Acting President Kotlikoff, I would like to convey Resolution 40: Usage of the Student Assembly Surplus to you. This resolution is sponsored by Emma Johnston and Matthew Stefanko. The Student Assembly, a part of the byline student organization cohort, is expected to have a thorough plan for the surplus funds. This resolution seeks to spend the Student Assembly’s surplus on the creation of Diversity Fellows, replenishing the Students Helping Students Fund, additional resources for Social Consultants, and increasing the Diversity Innovation Fund.
SA R41 (2015-2016): Acknowledged by the President
Dear Juliana,
SA R39 (2015-2016): Acknowledged by the President
Dear Juliana,
Thank you for sharing with me Resolution 39: Committing to Carbon Neutrality by 2035.
I appreciate the Cornell community’s concern and passion for the 2035 carbon neutrality goal. This is an important university priority, and one for which we must identify a financially feasible path forward. Recently, I met with students and staff to share that I have charged the Senior Leaders Climate Action Group (SLCAG) with developing by September 1, 2016, a menu of options and related costs that will enable Cornell to achieve carbon neutrality by this date.
