SA R39 (2025-2026): Rebranding the Student Assembly to the Cornell Student Governance Assembly

Whereas, the Cornell Student Assembly is colloquially referred to as the “SA” by the greater student body,

Whereas, “SA” can also refer to Sexual Assault,

Whereas, the attempt to rebrand Cornell Student Assembly to just “Assembly” had little to no impact in regard to perception by the student body,

Whereas, there is general skepticism or unfamiliarity regarding the activities of the Assembly,

Whereas, the role of Assembly members is to be informed on the concerns of their constituencies,
