Candidate Information Sessions

  • Monday, September 12, 2022 at 6:30 PM (EST) in 111 Ives Hall.
  • Tuesday, September 13, 2022 via Zoom

Deadline for Election Registration

  • Friday, September 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM (noon) (EST) on-line registration form submission and completed petitions submitted in person in 109 Day Hall.

Mandatory Campaigning Meeting

  • Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 6:30 PM (EST) in 226 Weill Hall.

Campaigning Begins

  • Wednesday, September 28, 2022 @ 11:59 PM (EST)
  • Campaigning suspended from Sundown, October 4 to Sundown, October 5 in observance of Yom Kippur.

Candidates Debate/Forum

  • Thursday, October 6, 2022 @ 7:00 PM (EST) in 213 Kennedy Hall.

Voting Begins

  • ​​Wednesday, October 12, 2022 @ 12:00 PM EST

Voting Ends

  • Friday, October 14, 2022 @ 4:00 PM EST

Challenge Forms and Expense Reports Due

  • Friday, October 14, 2022 @ 4:00 PM EST via in-person submission to the Office of the Assemblies in 109 Day Hall.

Challenge Hearings

Become a Candidate

Available Seats (Fall 2022):

  • Freshman Representative
    • Four Positions
    • Requires 75 Petition Signatures
  • Transfer Representative
    • One Position
    • Requires 25 Petition Signatures

Application Process:

You must do these 7 things prior to becoming a candidate:

  1. Review the details for the open seats listed above to determine the race in which you will run. 
  2. Review the Election Rules to ensure your eligibility.
  3. Complete the online registration form.
    1. Include a 1250 character Candidate Statement
    2. Attach a photo (or have one taken of you)
  4. Review petition requirements for each seat listed below and gather petition signatures *It is suggested that you gather more than the requisite number in the event that a signature is invalid.*
  5. Attend the mandatory campaign meeting on Wednesday, September 28th at 6:30 pm (EST) in 226 Weill Hall
  6. Attend at least one Student Assembly meeting held weekly on Thursdays from 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm in the Memorial Room (Willard Straight Hall) or virtually via Zoom.
  7. ​Apply for at least one Student Assembly Committee through the online committee form.
