It is my pleasure to convey to you Student Assembly Resolution #9: Demanding Cornell Dissolve All Relations with the Ithaca Police Department The purpose of this resolution is to call for Cornell University to dissolve all ties with the Ithaca Police Department.
This resolution comes in light of protests that happened within the past months in downtown Ithaca where Cornell students recorded and reported being subjected to, and witness to undue arrests and brutality exhibited by the Ithaca Police Department against peaceful protesters. I’d like to thank and recognize the cosponsors of this resolution for bringing this resolution to the Student Assembly.
