Application Process:

To become a candidate:

  1. Review the details for the open seats listed above to determine the race in which you will run. 
  2. Review the Election Rules to ensure your eligibility.
  3. Complete the online registration form by the deadline of Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
    1. Include a 1250 character Candidate Statement
    2. Attach a photo (or have one taken of you)
  4. Attend the mandatory campaign meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2024 (time and location to be provided by the Election Committee).
  5. Attend at least one Student Assembly meeting held weekly on Thursdays from 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm in the Memorial Room (Willard Straight Hall 407) or virtually via Zoom.
  6. ​Apply for at least one Student Assembly Committee through the online committee form.

Deadline for Election Registration

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST) on-line registrations due.

Mandatory Campaign Meeting

  • Thursday, November 14, 2024 : Date and time to be announced by Elections Committee.

Campaigning Begins

  • Thursday, November 14, 2024 immediately following Campaign Meeting
  • Campaigning is allowed through the conclusion of the voting period

Submission of Video Statements

  • Each registered candidate must submit a video statement, which will be posted on the candidates' information page, by the opening of the voting period on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Candidates will be provided questions for their response by the Election Committee.

Voting Begins

  • ​​Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 12:01 a.m.

Voting Ends

  • Sunday, November 24 at 11:59 PM (EST).

Expense Reports Due

  • Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST). 

Challenges Due

  • Sunday November 24, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST)

Challenge Hearings

  • Monday, November 25, 2024 (if necessary)

Earliest Results Will Be Announced

  • Tuesday, November 26, 2024
