I would like to convey to you UA R11: Emergency Appointment of University Hearing Board and University Review Board Members for Academic Year 2020-2021. Due to the urgency in having individuals on review boards for this academic term, the UA Executive Committee acted within its emergency authority, with support from Brandon Fortenberry (our CJC Chair), to appoint students for this semester. These appointments are only for spring 2021 and there are still some vacancies—the CJC will conduct their business as usual this semester to fill any vacancies or make new/extend appointments. I ask for your support in our decision to make emergency appointments so that the judicial proceedings at Cornell were not adversely affected at the beginning of the semester.
